- Address shows through a window in the envelope
- Used in Window Envelope Appeals
Addressed Envelope
- Address block is printed on the envelope
- Used in Match Mailings and Invitations
Reply Envelope vs Remittance Envelope
Reply Envelope
- Check is returned in this
- A reply slip is filled out and returned in this
- The reply slip is often attached to the appeal letter
Remittance Envelope
- Reply information is filled out on the envelope
- An extended flap conceals the donor information
- Often used with Nested Letters and Newsletters
3 Types of Letters
8.5 x 14 with Reply Slip
- Reply slip is returned in a #9 reply envelope
- Perforated for easy removal from letter
- Contains the donors information for easy data entry
2 - 8.5 x 11 Nested Letters
- 2 - 8.5 x 11 letters are folded together
- 2nd page may be a reply device and inserted into a #9 Reply Envelope
- Often used with a #9 remittance envelope
8.5 x 11 Letter
- Can be used with a remit envelope
- Often used with a separate reply slip and reply envelope
- Occasionally used as stand alone with no reply options
